Dr. Madeline Stolow was raised on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, where her love for animals began at an early age. She fondly recalls volunteering at a local animal hospital when she was just 12 years old, as well as pet-sitting for many of her neighbors’ dogs and cats.
After graduating from LaGuardia High School, where she majored in drama, Dr. Stolow earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Comparative Religion, along with a Certificate in Evolutionary Studies, from Binghamton University. She went on to spend nearly a decade working in biomedical research laboratories in New York and Philadelphia, studying neurodegenerative diseases and traumatic brain injury, before earning her veterinary degree from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Stolow is delighted to be back in her hometown, where she provides compassionate care for the pets and families of Sutton Animal Hospital. Outside of work, she enjoys going to the theater, knitting, indulging in Jewish comfort food, and spending time with her beloved 60-pound Labradoodle, Penelope.
