Wellness Care
for Dogs

Sutton Animal Hospital offers all of the wellness veterinary care that contributes to the overall well-being and longevity for your dog. Just like humans, dogs require regular medical attention and preventive measures to ensure they lead healthy and happy lives. Regular veterinary check-ups, vaccinations and parasite control, dental hygiene, and appropriate nutrition all contribute to your dog’s overall longevity. Simply put, proper wellness veterinary care can help your dog lead a longer life.

30 Minute Appointment Slots

Each dog is unique, and proper health care takes into account individual needs, lifestyle, and breed-specific requirements. That is why, at Sutton Animal Hospital, we have 30 minute appointment slots to ensure your pet has a comprehensive visit. Unlike most veterinary hospitals that offer 15 minute appointments, Sutton Animal Hospital provides expanded appointment times because we know that consistently thorough care cannot be provided under rushed conditions. This additional time is necessary to obtain an accurate account of your pet’s health, give a comprehensive physical examination and discuss with you, in detail, our recommendations and answer any questions you may have. If your schedule should not allow time for you to be present during the appointment, you also have the option of leaving your pet with us for part of the day. During this time our doctors and nurses will promptly provide the necessary care for your pet and can speak with you over the phone. Please call the office to schedule your appointment.

Sutton Animal Hospital’s Wellness Care Includes:

Regular check-ups and screenings

Including blood tests and X-rays. Regular exams help us monitor your dog’s health over time. This monitoring is especially important as dogs age.

Dental Exam

Dental care is essential for dogs, as dental issues can lead to pain, infection, and even heart problems. Regular dental check-ups and cleanings can prevent these issues.

Vaccines

Vaccines are important because they protect your pet, your family, and the people and pets around you against many diseases.  We believe in tailoring non-core vaccines based on your pet’s unique medical history and lifestyle.

Weight Management and Nutritional Guidance

Proper nutrition is vital for your dog’s health. Regular veterinary visits with us can provide you with guidance on the best diet for your dog.  Our goal is to keep your dog at a healthy weight to avoid obesity.  Obesity is a common issue in dogs and can lead to various health problems.

Canine wellness care at Sutton Animal Hospital is not just about treating illnesses.  It is about maintaining overall well-being and preventing health issues before they arise.
